Touring Park Reviews

We’re proud of the reviews we receive from campers, caravanners and glampers who visit us. Some of our visitors return to us year after year, so it’s great to share some of their wonderful reviews, written in their own words. We read all of them with great interest, and use them to help us develop and improve the Nidderdale experience even further.

You can leave a review for our Adventure Trail on the Adventure Trail Review page.

A great place to stay

Date of stay: September 2025
It's a great place to stay, you can also bring tourers and motorhomes, the pitch sizes are pretty spacious, some have enough room for two tents with parking space. There are plenty of great walks to go on around the site with amazing views, a mini golf adventure game on site and an adventure walk mainly for children's entertainment around the site also.

We will definitely be back!

Date of stay: April 2025
We have just come back from a 4 night stay at Studfold which we absolutely loved. The location of the campsite is fabulous, if you like peace and quiet then this is for you! We booked a non-electric tent pitch near the play area as we had a 3 year old with us. The play area was great for burning off some energy and we loved the space available for running around and playing games. The shower block, washing up area and freezer space are clean and well maintained. I liked the addition of hair dryers in the ladies. The campsite is well placed for visiting the local area and various attractions. The Studfold Adventure fairy trail is not to be missed if you have kids - or even if you don't! It's a lovely day out which we all really enjoyed - from ages 3 through to 68! We loved our stay and will definitely be back! Thanks fairy mummy for making it such a lovely place ❤️

We have just returned home for our lovely stay at Studfold. We travelling here for a family weekend and it was just as we hoped, nice and relaxing as well as amazing views!  We also had the best time doing their fairy trail our daughter loved this from start to finish, would definitely recommend booking the trail if staying at Studfold. The staff were amazing as soon as we arrived very helpful and friendly, facilities were always kept clean and tidy too!
We will be returning for another family break for sure. Highly recommend!

Little Gem

Date of stay: July 2023
What an absolute little gem of a camp site. We took our Grandchildren for 5 nights from 28th July to the 2nd August. The site is lovely and clean has plenty of space. We took our caravan and awing, we had lots of space for the little ones to run around. The shower block was clean with plenty of hot water. They have a little shop on site which has all your basic shopping needs catered for, with lovely friendly staff running it. The site is situated in the middle of beautiful countryside, but within travel distance of Patleybridge for all your shopping needs. We did the Fairy Trail which is a must as it as it is fabulous for big and little kids. Even though the weather well let's say it rained alot ,the campsite didn't get water logged or muddy. It was a peaceful and perfect stay. We will definitely be back.

What a find

Date of stay: April 2023
Found this site on google earth, what a find the area it is set in is outstanding the facilities on site were spotless and the staff we met were very friendly and helpful. We were only there for 2 nights. Wish we could have stayed longer. We will be back.

Great trip

Date of stay: July 2022
We’ve been to this site twice, once about 5 years ago and the latest was with our toddler. We personally loved the far field due to the children having lots of space to run around, make friends, and roam which is what camping is all about! It’s nice to not have a road running through like some campsites so we can relax a bit more knowing she is safe. The toilets and family room were fine for us and the kitchen facilities were all we needed. We added on an extra night last minute and the staff were super laid back and accommodation for this which is lovely. It’s about an hour from home for us so great for last minute trips and the surroundings are beautiful. We did the fairy trail which my toddler loved. The cafe is a nice touch, we had a lovely ice cream there. We will definitely be back, thank you.

Lovely, little, family friendly site

Date of stay: August 2020
We had a wonderful bank holiday weekend stay here. The facilities were spotless, the site small and welcoming, the staff friendly and helpful. The kids enjoyed the adventure trail and with so much to do nearby we were never going to be bored. Will happily return.

Brilliant camp site!

Date of stay: August 2019
This site really has all you need for a fantastic camping break. Just back from our 4th camping trip and it was brilliant, already planning next years! This year was with a group of friends with our young children. Everyone had an amazing time, lots to do, and the adventure trail is amazing. The owners are all lovely and helpful, facilities are clean and spacious, and the cafe serves lovely food. They will even make up a picnic basket for you and deliver it to a barn on the trail. And the homemade food was delicious. Once you stay, you will fall in love with it, and its beautiful surroundings. Roll on 2020! ❤ Studfold ❤

Fabulous Friendly Campsite

Date of stay: July 2019
We have stayed on this site on a number of occasions. Always clean. The location is amazing and so relaxing. You always get a warm welcome. The Nidderdale cafe on the premises is excellent and reasonable in price. The trail is also worth participating in with plenty to occupy children under 12. We love the place.

Pod Cover

Date of stay: August 2019
When the rain hit we upgraded to pods. Loved this place, the cafe and the trail are fab and the staff are really friendly. The scenery is beautiful and it’s a great base to visit surrounding areas. Looking forward to going back again.

A great find

Date of stay: August 2019
We found this site the night before we were due to take our teenage nephews away and the forecast meant our original plan (we head to the Lakes by default) had to change. We’re so glad we did! This is a super site with spacious pitches, a very clean and well-equipped toilet block, a shop and a cafe and incredibly helpful staff who we contacted numerous times throughout our stay for a range of sound advice. There are activities on the doorstep (but be prepared for a winding 8mile drive to the nearest shops). The site was peaceful, in the heart of nature and provided us plenty of space for French cricket during down time. There’s even a sheltered area for barbecues when the weather turns. We would love to come back. Thank you so much.
